Where to Find Human Bill in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1 (and His Mythic Arc-Lightning Gun!)
In Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1, Human Bill has evolved from a friendly NPC into one of the island's three major bosses.
Here is everything you need to know about locating Human Bill, his loot drops, and how to complete his associated quests.
Where to Find Human Bill
Human Bill uses a randomized spawn system.
Common Spawn Points
While he moves every game, players have reported the highest encounter rates at these Points of Interest (POIs):
- Latte Landing / Humble Hills: This is currently the most active zone for him. Look near the large pool or the "Battlewood" sign on the hill.
- Innoloop Labs (Lethal Labs): Often found in the open parking lot or the central courtyard.
- Ripped Tides: Usually roaming the outskirts of the town.
- Painted Palms: Often found on the western edge of the desert area.
- Wonkeeland (Southeast): Check the parking lots and cabins near the edge of the park.
How to Track Him In-Game
Since he isn't marked on the map from the start of the match, use these two tricks to find him:
Watch the Battle Bus: At the start of the match, three fireballs with question marks will launch from the bus toward different parts of the map. These are the bosses. If you follow one, you have a 1-in-3 chance it’s Human Bill.
The Skull Icon: When you get close to a boss location, a white skull icon with a crown will appear on your mini-map.
This confirms a boss is nearby, though it won't specify if it's Bill until you see him.
Boss Rewards & "The Kit"
Defeating Human Bill is well worth the effort, as he drops some of the most unique loot this season:
Human Bill’s Arc-Lightning Gun (Mythic)
This specialized energy weapon fires a sustained beam of electrical current. It deals roughly 120 DPS and has the unique ability to chain lightning between players, vehicles, and nearby structures, making it a nightmare for enemies hiding in builds. Unlike the standard versions found in floor loot, the Mythic variant has much higher durability and takes significantly longer to overheat, allowing you to zap opponents for extended periods.
The Human Bill Transformation Kit
The "Kit" is this season's evolution of the Medallion system. Instead of just sitting in your inventory, picking up this item triggers a transformation that physically turns your character into Human Bill for the remainder of the match.
- Stat Boosts: You gain an immediate buff to your survivability, increasing your maximum Health and Shield to 125 each (for a total of 250 effective HP).
- Infinite Energy: While transformed, you have infinite stamina, allowing you to sprint and maneuver without ever getting tired.
- Low Gravity Passive: You gain a permanent "Chill Mood" low-gravity effect. This allows you to jump significantly higher and further, providing a massive advantage for reaching high ground or escaping sticky situations.
- Henchmen Reinforcements: Every 90 seconds, two AI henchmen will spawn nearby to assist you in combat.
- The Trade-off: Much like previous medallions, wearing the Kit reveals your exact location on the map to all other players, making you a constant target for the rest of the lobby.
Additional Drops
In addition to his unique Mythic gear, Human Bill always drops a Chug Jug, which is essential for restoring your increased Health and Shield pools after a tough fight. You may also occasionally find a Self-Revive Device, a rare consumable that allows you to get back on your feet if you are downed in team modes.
Quest Tip: "Emote Near or As Human Bill"
A common weekly quest requires you to emote in his presence.
- The Safe Way: It is much easier to defeat him, pick up his Transformation Kit, and emote once you've turned into him.
- The Risky Way: You can try to emote near him while he's alive, but be careful—bosses have an "awareness meter."
If you stay in his line of sight too long, he will become aggressive and use the Arc-Lightning Gun on you.
