Playboi Carti Skin in Fortnite Chapter 7

Fortnite's tradition of integrating massive music and pop culture figures continues with the recent, much-anticipated collaboration with hip-hop superstar Playboi Carti. Following weeks of leaks and fan speculation, the rapper officially confirmed his entry into the game's prestigious Icon Series, bringing his unique "vamp" aesthetic into the Battle Royale.

Collaboration Confirmed and Details Emerge

The collaboration moved from rumor to certainty when Playboi Carti himself posted the official Fortnite logo on his social media, adding the caption "NAHH FR." This simple, yet powerful confirmation sent the Fortnite and Carti fanbases into a frenzy, solidifying his place alongside other musical icons in the game, such as Travis Scott, Eminem, and The Weeknd.

This is more than just a cosmetic release; the collaboration is expected to bring a full Icon Series experience, complete with an outfit, themed cosmetics, and an in-game event.

The Playboi Carti Outfit: A "Vamp" Aesthetic

Details about the main cosmetic have been widely leaked, suggesting an Outfit that captures Carti's distinctive style, which has recently leaned heavily into a darker, "vampire-esque" persona.

  • Design Elements: The skin is rumored to feature Carti's signature dreadlocks, prominent face tattoos, and an "I AM MUSIC" buckle, reflecting his current album cycle.

  • Controversial Reception: Early leaks and teases have generated a mixed, and sometimes brutal, reaction from the community, with some players calling the design "overhyped garbage" or even "ugly," while his loyal fans passionately defend the skin as an immediate "must-buy."

Beyond the Skin: Cosmetics and Jam Tracks

As a full Icon Series addition, Carti's presence is expected to include a complete cosmetic bundle:

  • Outfit/Bundle Price: Leaks suggest the Outfit will be priced at 1,500 V-Bucks on its own, or 2,500 V-Bucks as part of a larger Bundle.

  • Music Integration: A key part of the collaboration is the rumored "EVIL J0RDAN" Jam Track, which will be available for players to use in the Fortnite Festival mode and as a lobby track.

  • Other Cosmetics: Players can also anticipate an Icon Emote and potentially a Back Bling or Pickaxe themed around Carti's music and aesthetic.

An Unconventional Event: The Final Boss?

In a significant break from the tradition of Icon Series collaborations—which usually feature a celebratory in-game concert—recent leaks suggest Carti's debut was tied to the dramatic, Chapter-ending live event, Zero Hour.

Dataminers revealed audio and visual files pointing to a "Zombie Playboi Carti" stepping out of a corrupted portal, suggesting the rapper was cast as a literal end-of-chapter boss and central antagonist. This unusual role in the finale of Chapter 6, backed by his own music, makes the Playboi Carti collaboration one of the most unique and highly-debated in Fortnite history.

Playboi Carti Skin: Release Date Prediction

While Epic Games has not announced an official, confirmed date for the Playboi Carti Icon Series skin to hit the Item Shop, the consensus from reliable leakers points to a release in early December 2025.

Here's why:

  • Chapter 7 Launch Congestion: The Playboi Carti collaboration files were tied to the launch of Chapter 7, Season 1, which began on November 30, 2025.
  • Competing Icon Launch: The very beginning of Chapter 7 is already featuring another massive music collaboration: BLACKPINK's Lisa, who is the headliner for the launch of Fortnite Festival Season 12 (also releasing around November 29/30).
  • Avoidance of a Clash: To avoid a major clash and maximize sales for both huge Icon Series bundles, it is highly likely that Epic Games will launch the Playboi Carti content a week or two after Lisa's debut.

We will only know the exact date when Epic Games makes the official announcement, but keep a close eye on the Item Shop in the first half of December!
